MKG Opens Branch on Brainport Industry Campus (BIC)

On Friday, October 6, the second MKG branch on the Brainport Industry Campus (BIC) in Eindhoven was officially opened in the presence of the entire staff. With this cheerful celebration we also said goodbye to the course location in Waalre. MKG actively participates in the NXTGEN innovation programs 'Autonomous Factory' and 'Smart Supply Network' at the BIC and has its own training and meeting rooms in addition to workplaces. We look forward to welcoming you soon to this inspiring and innovative environment.

The leading 1st, 2nd and 3rd line high-tech suppliers in the Netherlands together form the unique Brainport Industries ecosystem. The aim is to 'connect' the suppliers in these high-tech chains, jointly further increasing the professionalism of the chain and increasing its competitiveness. The Brainport Industries Campus (BIC) is the face of the high-tech manufacturing industry. An international campus in the heart of Brainport Eindhoven where top technology, education, government and high-quality facilities come together under one roof. BIC is a unique location in the Brainport region, where more than 50 companies in the high-tech manufacturing industry and 3 educational institutions are located. Smart Industry literally and figuratively gets off the ground here, in a completely circular building that has a modular design.

NXTGEN Autonomous Factory
The Autonomous Factory project focuses on the development and implementation of process optimization in a high-tech production environment; highly complex, in low volumes. To achieve this, the entire process must become smart: Smart Manufacturing, Smart Working and Smart System Engineering. Robotization, new production and assembly technology, flexible and digitalized processes and flexible logistics, among other things, are indispensable elements. Operating support systems, education and training also play an important role.

NXTGEN Smart Supply Network
Within the Smart Supply Network project, work will be done on deepening and scaling up the Smart Connected Supplier Network (SCSN), within which manufacturing companies work on the digital exchange of information in the supply chain. This allows companies to share data more easily, quickly and reliably.

Each workshop ended with a live demo, so not only theoretical stories but also real solutions that help manufacturing companies take the next step.
