Metal companies perform better with us
Metaal Kennis Groep Nederland BV has been developing and implementing ERP software for SME metal companies in the manufacturing industry since 2000. We are a dynamic company with around 70 highly qualified employees, or at least that is what we think. From our head office in Hengelo (Overijssel), our activities extend across the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany. In 2023 we also moved into the Brainport Industries Campus (BIC) in Eindhoven.
Our mission is clear: we want to bring our customers to an excellent level. We provide top quality integrated information systems and expertise to the SME metal industry. We do this with our self-developed ERP software and with experienced consultants who are both technically and organizationally strong. We embrace the power of modern technology, connecting systems, machines and processes through data sharing. Dedicated to chain integration.
MKG can call itself a Smart Industry ambassador and is a partner in the Smart Industry field lab 'Smart Connected Supplier Network'. Because we believe that the urgency of new technological applications is high and new solutions are desperately needed, we participate in the NXTGEN High-tech projects Autonomous Factory and Smart Supply Network, with the aim of strengthening the Dutch manufacturing industry.
“For manufacturing companies we have an excellent answer to the
complex IT challenges that the sector will face in the coming years.
We are proud of that!”
Henk Abbring, Gérard Altena and Oscar Postma
"It is satisfying when you have built a well-functioning
piece of software, and to see your effort reflected
in the next released version."
“Sitting behind the computer all day by yourself; that's what many people think of when they think of a software engineer. But fortunately it is much more than that! We work together a lot in the development team and the work is varied and versatile. Most of my work consists of solving unwanted situations in the software and creating new functionalities.
What I like so much about this work is the puzzling to solve a problem. Sometimes you do this alone, but often in consultation with others who have certain experience or knowledge. It is satisfying when you have built a well-functioning piece of software, and to see your effort reflected in the next released version. When you hear that a customer is happy with this, you can be sure that you have a great job and that you are not 'boring and alone behind your computer all day'!”
When you come to work at MKG, you will join a group of ambitious people with a fascination for ERP, automation and business processes in the metal industry. In a mix of Twente's do-it-as-usual mentality and Brabant conviviality, we work in small teams every day on very complex topics and challenging themes. And lunch, that is an event in itself.
Current vacancies can be found in our vacancy overview. No current vacancies or none suitable for you? MKG is young and dynamic. We not only want to introduce a new generation of metal workers to ERP, but also a new generation of IT professionals. Due to our partnerships with various ROCs, Saxion University of Applied Sciences and Twente University, we regularly have room for and demand for internships and internship assignments. Interested? MKG offers complete accounting solutions for metal companies. When using all options, entrepreneurs gain daily insight into order status, coverage and general performance. Using budgeting options facilitates tracking business performance, with the ability to budget at general ledger, customer, supplier and hourly levels.
Financial dashboards enable you to quickly analyze deviations and link them to relevant processes. These adjustments are configurable in a personal dashboard environment. In addition, the system enables seamless hourly additions and direct settlement between two administrations, together with the creation of consolidation administrations.
In addition to our commercial contribution, we also like to take our responsibility towards society. MKG annually supports organizations that we and our employees believe matter. We periodically conduct research into the satisfaction of our employees and customers, because “we want our colleagues like to work at MKG and customers like to be customers of MKG. Then the rest automatically goes well.”
