Authorization for tasks has been expanded

The authorization for tasks has been divided into multiple levels, providing greater control over what a user can view and change. Previously, a user could either manage all tasks or only their own and/or group tasks. From now on, it is also possible to grant users read-only rights to all tasks without allowing them to make changes.

The field Can Manage All Tasks on the user has been changed from a logical checkbox to a dropdown list. The label has also been changed to "Manage Tasks". This field has three levels:

  • 0 – Own (group) tasks
    • View: Only own tasks and tasks of the user's own group(s)
    • Change/delete: Only own/group tasks
  • 1 – Own (group) tasks + view all
    • View: All tasks (including those of other users and groups)
    • Change/delete: Only own/group tasks
  • 2 – Manage all tasks
    • View: All tasks
    • Change/delete: All tasks

Conversion Program
During this update, a conversion will be performed. Users who previously had “Can Manage All Tasks = true” will automatically receive level 2 (Manage all tasks). Users who did not have this will default to level 0 (Own (group) tasks).
