Error message in EU Sales Listings when a VAT number contained a country code

When submitting an EU Sales Listing, the VAT number cannot exceed 12 characters. However, if the VAT number contained a country code, this code was not removed. As a result, the maximum length of 12 characters was exceeded. This triggered an error message, preventing the EU Sales Listing from being sent.
