When using MKG, you need a storage location for documents. From now on, you can use SharePoint as document storage to retrieve and save files. The advantage of this is that SharePoint is online, shareable, and can be synchronized locally.

 

How does the SharePoint integration work in MKG?

The integration with SharePoint offers a hybrid solution to place, import, and convert files. This means you can use an existing server for document storage while simultaneously using the SharePoint integration. It is also possible to use only SharePoint as document storage. Furthermore, the integration provides an extension to the document rights model. Since documents are placed in SharePoint by MKG, SharePoint determines the permissions.

When you use the SharePoint integration, MKG saves files in the standard way. The only difference with local storage is that the file location is a SharePoint location. This appears as follows: SharePoint site » SharePoint folder » Mkgdocs » [YEAR] » [MONTH] » [DAY] » [SECOND] » [DOCUMENT].
